How to sow a salad - 3 proven ways for different situations

Lettuce seeds can be sown from early spring to early autumn. Learn how to do it right to harvest a good crop, even from the smallest beds.

Lettuce seeds can be sown as a separate bed, and between other vegetables. Carrots, parsnips and even tomatoes are considered good neighbors of the salad.

It is possible to sow several rows of lettuce between roses or other flowers directly on the flowerbed.

This method will help you out if the seed is not very much. To all sown salad seeds sprouted, they must be prepared in advance. Do not neglect preseeding preparation and drop dry seeds into the ground using the method of spot sowing. It is better to soak them for a day in water, and if it is an infusion of ash, then the seeds will also be enriched with trace elements. To cook it will need:

  • 150 ml of water.
